In 2014 the Society of the Sacred Heart marked the centenary of the death of Janet Erskine Stuart RSCJ. There were conferences in the US as well as England. Over 150 from all 5 continents: RSCJ, friends and educators, gathered in Roehampton for the Feast of the Sacred Heart in June 2014. Janet made a significant contribution to the educational philosophy and practice in the Society’s schools eJESspecially in the English speaking provinces. Janet had many other gifts including a deep spirituality wSS Orsovahich she shared in her writings. She was the first Superior General to travel right across the world aiming to visit every community. You can read about her in Spanish, French and English
